Before launching this concept, I was training from the inside — as a Perfumer trying to find my own voice.
Eight years ago, I found myself searching for my voice as a perfumer, studying how the world’s most intriguing brands built collections that felt like art—sometimes following a thread, sometimes delighting in total surprise. I became fascinated with the design of a bottle, the story a brand told, the way the right scent could become a calling card. But to find these brands, I had to travel to New York or Paris, chasing down those who treated fragrance as the art form it is.
When I reached out to bring these brands home to Atlanta, they told me kindly but firmly: Atlanta wasn’t ready. People here wouldn’t understand niche fragrance, wouldn’t value the artistry, wouldn’t care. But I knew they were wrong. I believed this diverse, beautiful city I’ve called home for over 30 years was filled with people ready to discover, to slow down, and to embrace the privilege of wearing fragrance as art.
So I built INDIEHOUSE, not just as a store but as a classroom, a community, and a catalyst for curiosity. We opened in the uncertain summer of 2020, navigating a pandemic, supply chain chaos, hiring challenges, and the “recession-ish” mood that followed. It wasn’t easy. But every day, we met incredible individuals who proved what we knew all along: Atlanta is filled with connoisseurs who value artistry, intention, and living beautifully.
Now, in 2025, it’s time for INDIEHOUSE 2.0. The industry has evolved, and not always in ways that align with our mission to educate, inspire, and elevate. There’s too much noise, too much misinformation, and too many trends chasing the lowest common denominator. We’re not here for that. We’re here for the connoisseurs, the artists, the trailblazers who see fragrance as an extension of their individuality. Some things will change. Some things you will love, others may surprise you. But know this: we will remain true to the people we are here to serve, staying authentic, intentional, and committed to bringing beauty and truth to those who seek it.

a quick call?”
What’s your greatest extravagance?
Putting real cowhide rugs in a make your own perfume store. Let's just say we replace them often.
On what occasion do you lie?
When I use the words "I'll do that right now".
Which historical figure do you most identify yourself with?
I’ve been told that I inspired “The Last Great American Dynasty” by Taylor Swift, so take with that what you will.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d stop pretending I don’t need systems when, in fact, I absolutely, desperately need systems.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Building something brave enough to help other people be bold & inspired.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Obsessively creative to the point where we have not even implemented my last crazy & impossible idea before I am on to the next impossible & crazy idea.
What do you most value in your team?
