Our story begins in 1934, when our founders’ grandfather moved from the Levant to Senegal’s Sine-Saloum region in search of a better life. That same year, a nearby forest became a protected area—a magical place where graceful giraffes move beneath the golden sun and vibrant blue birds perch atop the branches of thousand-year-old baobabs.
For decades, our family has been working on conservation efforts in this very forest—a commitment that continues to this day. Based in Dakar, our founders are inspired by their deep respect for the region’s botanicals and nature, founding Réserve en Afrique as a tribute to their beauty and diversity.
From Madagascan vanilla and Somali opoponax to Nigerian ginger and Moroccan rose, we celebrate Africa’s exceptional botanicals—honoring their remarkable scents and the communities that cultivate and nurture them.
