To preserve your custom fragrance, avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures. The ideal storage spots include a wine cellar, refrigerator, or a closed wardrobe in your bathroom or bedroom. Proper storage can help maintain your perfume’s quality for up to a year.

If you have sensitive skin, consider spraying your fragrance onto your clothing instead of directly onto your skin. Be cautious when applying to white fabrics.

With regular use, your personalized fragrance can last approximately three to four months. When it’s finished, you can easily refill it through Indiehouse’s innovative sustainable refill program and reusable bottle system.

For long-lasting results, generously apply your scent to pulse points and hair each morning, evening, or before heading out. Depending on its composition, your fragrance can last between six to twelve hours on your skin.

Here are a few gems of advice for achieving your perfect pairing when creating your perfume composition. 

You need to select two ingredients that you love the most, or that you're familiar with.

If you're on the lookout for an elegant, fresh perfume to wear during the daytime and on a day-to-day basis, it's probably best to start with a blend of one top note and one heart note. The heart note will retain its dominance, but the fresher top note will provide lift, spark and vitality, as well as helping with projection.

If, on the other hand, you're looking to level up your seduction and create a sensual, distinctive perfume for evening and night-time wear, a blend of one heart note and one bottom note will be better suited to your style. These intense oriental essences will dominate the blend (so be sure that you're in love with them first!) but will be balanced and infused with additional elegance and intrigue by your choice of heart note.

Can't decide between creating a night and day perfume, a fresh, sophisticated scent or a seductive, sexy perfume? If you want both in your perfume, then we recommend blending two heart notes together. This often creates a beautiful combination that exudes balance, sensuality and sophistication. Two floral notes, one floral and one wood note, one aromatic and one wood note, or one aromatic and one flower… the choice is entirely yours.

Absolutely! You can add additional scents for an additional fee per scent by adding selections from the "additional scents" above.

INDIEHOUSE recommends starting with two oils for beginners, but feel free to experiment with more if you’re feeling adventurous. We provide the tools—you create your unique scent!

We make every effort to ship your order as quickly as possible. Although we work very hard to keep our inventory up to date and accurate, there are times where discrepancies are discovered, the condition of a product doesn't meet our standards, or a popular item gets back-ordered. In these situations, there may be a delay in completing your order. We make every effort to contact you with any issues that might delay your order. Please note that we only ship orders complete.

Other factors that may delay your order are severe weather or other emergency situations, issues with billing and shipping address' not matching what is on file with the payment used, and security flags received from the bank or credit card company requiring us to confirm information before completing the shipment.
